OUTREACH/MISSIONS COMMITTEE

The Outreach/Missions Committee is one of the ways that MMC serves the McCormick area community and beyond. We look for opportunities to help those in need where monies raised will have the greatest impact. Many of these groups have had long term relationships with MMC, and it has been a blessing for us to see the impact we can have as a church.
 
Examples of our local outreach include:
  • McCormick BackPack ministry, which supplies weekend backpacks of food to local children who need their nutritional needs supplemented on the weekend.
  • The Epworth Children’s Home, which supplies multiple services to children, mothers and families in Columbia, SC.
  • Greenwood Wesley Foundation, which provides Christian Programs for youth at Lander University and Piedmont Technical College.
  • McCormick Area Transportation, which provides transportation for needy and disabled people in our area.
  • School supplies for the McCormick School System.
  • Local Girl Scouts
  • Burton Center for special needs
  • McCormick Prison Chapel
  • Paul Dennis Youth Center here in McCormick
  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes
 
Examples of our extended outreach include:
  • The Maui fire victims
  • Kentucky flooding relief
  • Ukraine support
  • Panama Mission work
