NATIVE AMERICAN AWARENESS TEAM

Our mission is to bring awareness and appreciation of the Native American history, including their contributions and their presence in the nation, state and church. We also bring to the church any current issues and needs.

Each year, we invite Native American speakers to share about Native American history, traditions and cultures. This year, Native American Awareness Sunday will be on April 28. There will also be the all women Native American Keepers of the Word Drum Team.

In the fall, we run a campaign for collecting much needed food, hygiene and cleaning supplies for Native Elders in need here in South Carolina. This is called the Elder Basket Mission.
